3 Cassus - Alderic Thearre is born in a very small town in Ferelden's Bannorn. The town is heavily Chantry-run, with magic naturally forbidden, and thus does not have any healers. As a result, Alderic's mother dies shortly after giving birth to him.
Verimensis - (10) - After years of Alderic expressing an interest, the local Chantry decides to send him to Denerim to enter Templar training. His father sells everything, and they make the move to the city. Alderic finds it largely overwhelming, but eventually settles into the new life.
Late Molioris - (12) - Alderic meets Deidre Aisli, and eventually Conlan Delaine. The two of them enjoy dragging him on "adventures" around the Chantry, most of which get them all into big trouble. Through this, he somehow becomes friends with them, particularly with Dee. (Backscene: Planned.)
Date Unknown - (13) - Late in the evening, Alderic discovers Dee stuck in a tree, and in the process of rescuing her, they fall, and his arm is broken. This results in Rick being unable to train for several weeks. The two get in an argument over this, and Dee avoids Rick from then on.
Date Unknown - (14) - Denerim is attacked by the Darkspawn horde, and Alderic is evacuated with the rest of the Chantry. His father leaves him to volunteer with those attempting to fight the Darkspawn. After Dee's near-death escapade, the two resume talking and immediately become friends again. The Archdemon is eventually defeated, and the Darkspawn repelled, but Rick's father is one of many who never return. A few weeks later, he is sent to continue his Templar training at Kinloch Hold, and is escorted there by Tobias Statler, an elder Templar. The two take to each other very quickly, and he eventually becomes Alderic's mentor.
Wintersend, Verimensis - (18) - On the day of the Maker, Alderic finally becomes a Templar. Though he's much younger than the usual age Templars take their vows, the Tower is in need of them after Uldred's attack. He swears his vows, and is given his armor and first dose of lyrium.
24 Eluviesta - (20) - Much to his chagrin, Alderic is assigned to keep an eye on an elven Mage, Temil, whose powers are so inept, he's considered a great risk. The two both find this assignment offensive, and strongly dislike each other, but over the months, they unexpectedly become close friends. (Narrative: Planned.)
20 Frumentum - (21) - Temil vanishes from the Tower overnight. Alderic is sent, along with a senior Templar, Ser Maddock, to hunt him down. It is his first time being called upon to leave the Tower and hunt a mage. The two spend several weeks pursuing the elf. (Narrative: Planned.)
8 Umbralis - (21) - The Templars locate Temil in the Korkari Wilds, to discover he's been taken in by a group of blood mages, being used as a sacrifice. A confrontation occurs, during which Temil is transformed into an abomination. Alderic is forced to slay him -- the blood mages escape, in the meantime. This event serves to open his eyes to the reality of being a Templar. (Narrative: Planned.)
3 Cassus - (22) - Ser Tobias takes time to make a visit to the Tower for Alderic's birthday, bringing several gifts, one of which is booze. Rick gets drunk for possibly the first and/or only time, and the two have a discussion about Rick's first mage hunt.
18 Molioris - (22) - Alderic, and a Mage from the Tower, are called on to accompany Deidre into the Korcari Wilds on a small expedition. Though they've kept in contact through writing, it is his first time seeing Dee in person since he left for the Tower after the Blight.
19 Molioris - (22) - In the dark, Deidre becomes separated from Alderic and the Mage. They eventually locate her, only to discover she's been attacked by a Shriek and poisoned. They are able to find a Chasind shaman to care for her while they hunt down an antidote, and Rick spends the entire night concerned about her recovery.
Spring - (24) - While having one of his usual discussions in the library with Bethen Avilla, a good friend despite her being a Mage, they are suddenly approached by Ashya Devar, a young Apprentice, and her friend. The two ask Alderic and Bethen possibly the most awkward question ever, resulting in embarrassment for both of them.
16 Cassus - (26) - Alderic is called on to attend Bethen's Harrowing late in the night. Not without coincidence, he is the Templar assigned to watch over her while her spirit is in the Fade, and kill her if it becomes necessary. Fortunately for the both of them, she succeeds.
17 Cassus - (26) - Later the following day, Alderic locates Bethen in the Tower's library, and after making sure she's all right after the previous night, the two have a discussion about the trial she underwent and Bethen's plans now that she's officially a Mage.
Nubulis - (26) - After receiving a report that Constans Ledaal has summoned a demon in the Tower, a number of Templars are sent to take him into custody and determine his fate. Alderic is one of those sent to capture him, along with Aurin Demarc, a fellow Templar and
21 Umbralis - (26) - While venturing into the Wilds to hunt down a blood mage, Alderic runs into Imenry Barras, a mercenary who is hunting the same mage. The two track him to a Chasind village, where he turns the locals against them, but they eventually take him down. They stay in the village overnight, and the locals give him an embarrassing gift. (Backscene: Planned.)
13 Pluitanis - (27) - Alderic tracks an elven Apostate into the Brecilian Forest, and is injured in the following confrontation. When he stumbles into a nearby Dalish camp, they reluctantly agree to shelter him while he heals, and he strikes up a rapport with Faer Arandil -- oblivious to the fact that the clan is also harboring the Apostate. (Backscene: Planned.)
27 Molioris - (27) - After receiving the shortest letter he's ever gotten from Dee, concerning the death of a fellow Templar and mutual acquaintance, Ser Andreus, Alderic convinces his superiors to allow him to travel to Denerim for the funeral.
5 Eluviesta - (28) - Grey Warden Commander Alistair arrives at Kinloch Hold, and it is announced they are seeking volunteers. Alderic and Aurin both volunteer, which results in a disagreement between the two over who should be a Grey Warden. They decide to settle it through a spar, and Aurin narrowly wins.
6 Eluviesta - Despite the outcome the previous day, Alderic is one of the Templars chosen to become a Grey Warden. In the end, there are no hard feelings between he and Aurin, though, and the party of Templars and Mages departs the Tower several days later.
Mid-Eluviesta - While traveling across the Bannorn towards Amaranthine, the Tower party stumbles an unusual campfire in the dark. Upon further investigation, it turns out to be Deidre, who they then decide to camp with for the night.
Summerday, Eluviesta - The Circle Tower group finally arrives at Amaranthine. (Happened while I was on hiatus, so Alderic is technically not present in the thread. /fail)
13 Molioris - Alderic spends an hour in prayer before attending the Joining ceremony with the other Warden recruits. There, they learn the truth about the ritual, and half of those present are killed. Immediately afterward, Alderic has a talk with Bethen (Link soon.), the only other person from the Tower to have survived. He also briefly attends the funeral for those who died, and has a momentary talk with the Warden Commander.
14 Molioris - Forgoing sleep entirely, Alderic spends the rest of the night praying at the Chantry. At dawn, he leaves, only to be confronted by a very angry Deidre. The following conversation does not go the way either expects. Much later in the day, at noon, Alderic returns to the Chantry for his usual prayers, and runs into Conlan, who strikes up a discussion about religion. (Link soon.)
(I still have a number of items to add to the list that aren't fully figured out yet -- connections, etc. Lookin' at you, Ordhan, Seda and Lee! I'll get them up soon!)
